Your personal data

This privacy policy details Learning Planet Institute’s policy regarding the protection of personal data collected on its site.
As of today, this privacy policy applies to all users of the site/or interacts with Learning Planet Institute in connection with the use of the site.
The purpose of this privacy policy is to inform users of how Learning Planet Institute protects the personal data it collects as part of the services provided on the site.

Learning Planet Institute, as a data controller, works and undertakes to protect the privacy of users in accordance with legal requirements and in particular law n ° 78-17 of January 6, 1978 as amended (known as the “Informatique and Freedoms”) and European Regulation 2016/679 on the protection of personal data (“GDPR”).

1. The data collected

As part of the services made available to users, Learning Planet Institute is required to collect and process the identifiers of the user account: username and email address. Your first name, last name, email, logo, organisation, website url and IP address in the context of event proposals for LearningPlanet Alliance Platform.
Your IP address is collected so that you can set your geolocation and thus see events according to your actual or desired time zone.

2. The purposes of the processing

As data controller, Learning Planet Institute collects users’ personal data in a lawful and fair manner and respects users’ rights.

Users submitting one or more events as part of the festival (LearningPlanet Festival or Festival de l’Apprendre) agree that their organisation (name and logo) may appear on the platform as a “festival partner”. They will receive e-mail communications about the festival and LearningPlanet Alliance activities.

The information collected by Learning Planet Institute is used for the purpose of authenticating users for access to services.

The data collected is also likely to be used by Learning Planet Institute for anonymous consultation statistics and to improve the site as well as its services.

3. Data collected using cookies

The user is informed that, during their visits to the site, a cookie is likely to be installed on their navigation software.
Cookies are small files that are saved on the user’s computer or on any electronic communications device used by the user when browsing the site. These files allow the exchange of status information between the site and the user’s browser.

6. Communication of users’ personal data

Learning Planet Institute undertakes to keep all personal data collected for the purposes of the services made available to the user and to share them only in certain circumstances and in accordance with the provisions of the applicable regulations.

Learning Planet Institute may in particular be required to provide access to users’ personal data to third-party service providers, acting as subcontractors, to perform services relating to the services and in particular the hosting, storage, analysis, data processing, database management and computer maintenance. These service providers will only have access to users’ personal data to perform these services and will be bound by the same security and confidentiality obligations as Learning Planet Institute.

7. Security and protection of users’ personal data

Learning Planet Institute commits to take all reasonable technical and organisational measures to ensure the security and confidentiality of the personal data collected and transmitted, if necessary, to subcontractors.

Learning Planet Institute reserves the right to modify the privacy policy at any time. The amended privacy policy will take effect on the date it is posted on the site.
